In successive Workbench Labs, we first developed the basis for the new job profile of the future train driver, i.e. developed the personas and motivations and needs for a long-term commitment to the company, which reflect their increasing multiculturalism and diversity. In the second step, a portfolio was created on the basis of existing training tools for the further development of a learning and knowledge platform. In the third step, a concept was developed for the driver's cab of the planned ICE train 2030. All concepts are now in the implementation phase, and another challenge of the future is now being tackled.

Together with ... and dos Santos, we have the future job profile The scarce 3,000 long-distance train drivers transformed and a catalog of measures , which shows us how we must change our management, among other things, in order to integrate new and young employees efficiently and effectively into our company. The large number of our future train drivers (Tf), who will replace age-related departures over the next 10 years, represents a particular challenge for this task. Based on the diverse needs of these different groups of employees, the concept for future learning and knowledge management designed. As a third step, the vision and concept idea for future workplace - the driver's cab in the train - developed.

As part of another groundbreaking project on Employee Experience, that on round 22,000 employees including managers, ... and dos Santos made a significant contribution to identifying decisive key moments for an improved work experience. This created both new foundations such as a modern employee lifecycle, which determines factors for work performance and developed essential measures, including the need to train managers in a progressive management style.

The transformation model used by... and dos Santos results in real rethinking among participants and promotes simultaneously eine successful collaboration across various hierarchical levels and specialist areas, with a clear focus on people, both as employees and as managers. We are convinced that this unique approach is crucial to wellness to sustainably improve our employees as well as that of managers and thus to transform our organization and make it fit for the future.

This think tank brings together selected experts and well-founded research to identify problems from different perspectives together with our teams and identify practical solutions. A stimulating working atmosphere is created time and again, which not only exceeds our expectations, but also ensures that the results are successfully integrated into our organization.
