Open Design

... is an Israeli designer and design educator who lives in Berlin. He taught furniture design and design creativity courses at leading Israeli and European design academies.
His creative thinking prompted him to develop and conceptualize “open design” by writing his manifesto: a collection of product designs that can be freely downloaded, copied, modified and produced based on the open-source software approach. Based on this concept, he founded “Open Design”, a design and production company for furniture, lighting and accessories that are manufactured in Berlin and sold in Europe and the USA. His work is regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions around the world and published in specialist literature.
He currently teaches open design and creativity at various universities, advises companies on the creative development of solutions, and speaks at conferences around the world.
