Alexander Wodrich

… is driven with a passion by the emotional impact of music and sound. He directs this passion into developing audio concepts for brands, films and art projects.

Before choosing to work independently in 2009, Alexander worked as a consultant in advertising and branding at large agencies such as Wunderman and MetaDesign for over ten years. There he was a member of the management board and built up their audio-branding department. He has had the opportunity to work on pioneering audio projects for the likes of Lufthansa, Allianz and Audi.

Alexander curated the exhibition “OggettiSonori – invisible Design” at the August Kestner Museum (Hannover) in 2010. In 2011 he was also awarded a red dot design award for his stunning work on the audio branding of the French insurance provider AG2R La Mondiale.

Since the beginning of 2016 Alexander’s ‘Why Do Birds’ team is the new global lead agency for all audio matters of Hyundai. They are also the recipient of numerous awards for the Audio-Branding of the ”Bundesagentur für Arbeit“, which can be heard in TV-commercials and as a soundscape in buildings.

In his life as a musician, Alexander writes, plays and sings in different bands, with whom he has performed in over one hundred concerts, released numerous records, enjoyed steady radio airplay and won different prizes.
